Biography
Australian born Berlin based Alley Oop has an undeniable love for music. Her passion has found her in busy studios, behind the decks at nightspots and festivals all over the world.
Alley Oop's sets traverse an eclectic blend of era defying selections, including deep and straight up House, Disco and Tech.
Holding down premium residencies and touring across Australia and Asia since 2008, Alley Oop also promoted and hosted infamous parties, welcoming many international and local guests.
Since making the move in 2013, Alley Oop now calls Berlin home, relishing in the inspiration the artistic motherland has to offer. Her most recent touring misadventures have seen her play parties across cities including of course Berlin, Bristol, Dubai, Tbilisi, Dornbirn, Sydney, Melbourne and at Barcelona’s OFF Sonar.
Other waking hours are spent tucked away in studios or headphones, perpetually refining her varied but signature jams.
January 2014 saw Alley’s debut deep house EP Bells, drop on Exotic Refreshment. Quite the musical trip, a sweet pallet of sounds over a bouncy bass line and Alley's cheeky vocal, gaining the attention of BBC1’s Pete Tong.
Looking forward, we can anticipate Alley’s follow up EP, with title track Moving, due to drop before the end of the year, as well as tour dates including Istanbul, Paris, the Amsterdam Dance Event and an Australian tour. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be as action packed and music filled as always for this cross continental selector.
